Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how PantryPro collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or use a PantryPro account, we may collect information necessary to create, authenticate, and maintain your account, such as:

  • Email address

  • Display name or profile information you choose to provide

  • A unique account or user identifier

  • Authentication information associated with your chosen sign-in method

You may be able to sign in using email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. Information provided to PantryPro may vary depending on the authentication method you choose and the privacy settings associated with that service.

PantryPro does not receive your Apple or Google account password.


Information You Provide and App Activity

When you use PantryPro, we may store information necessary to provide and personalize app functionality, including:

  • Ingredients added to your pantry

  • Favorite recipes

  • Recently viewed or prepared meals

  • Cooking activity and cooking-session information

  • Cooking streaks, meals cooked, and time-saved statistics

  • Profile preferences and customization

  • Information or preferences provided during onboarding

  • Other information you intentionally provide while using PantryPro

This information is used to operate features such as meal recommendations, pantry management, saved recipes, cooking progress, and personalization.


Feedback and User-Submitted Content

PantryPro provides features that may allow you to submit feedback, suggestions, feature requests, comments, votes, or other content.

We use UserJot to provide certain feedback and feature-request functionality. Information associated with your use of these features may include:

  • Feedback or feature requests you submit

  • Comments or other content you choose to provide

  • Votes or interactions with feedback

  • A user or account identifier where necessary to associate feedback with your account

Information you intentionally submit to a public or community feedback board may be visible to other users. You should avoid including sensitive or unnecessary personal information in feedback submissions.

We use this information to understand user requests, improve PantryPro, prioritize features, and communicate product updates.


Subscription and Purchase Information

PantryPro offers paid subscription features, including ChefPro.

Purchases made through the iOS application are processed by Apple through the App Store. PantryPro does not directly receive or store your complete credit card, debit card, bank account, or other payment-card information.

We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status and entitlements. We may receive and process information related to your subscription, such as:

  • Subscription product or plan

  • Subscription status

  • Trial status

  • Purchase and expiration information

  • A user or customer identifier associated with the subscription

This information is used to determine whether your account has access to paid features, restore eligible purchases, and provide subscription-related functionality.

2. Analytics and App Usage Information

PantryPro uses PostHog for product analytics to help us understand how users interact with the app and to improve its features and user experience.

Depending on how PantryPro and PostHog are configured, analytics information may include:

  • App interactions and feature usage

  • Screens or features viewed

  • Onboarding progress and completion events

  • Paywall and subscription-flow interactions

  • Meal-generation and cooking-feature interactions

  • General session and usage information

  • Device and app information

  • Technical events and performance information

  • A pseudonymous or account-associated user identifier

PantryPro may associate analytics events with an internal account identifier, such as a user ID, so that we can understand product usage across sessions.

We use analytics to:

  • Understand how PantryPro features are used

  • Identify where users encounter difficulties

  • Evaluate onboarding and feature performance

  • Improve the user experience

  • Plan and prioritize new features

  • Measure general product engagement and performance

We do not sell analytics information or use PostHog analytics for third-party advertising.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through PantryPro to:

  • Create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts

  • Provide PantryPro's core functionality

  • Save and synchronize pantry and cooking information

  • Personalize the app experience

  • Provide recipe and meal functionality based on available ingredients

  • Maintain favorites, cooking history, streaks, and related statistics

  • Manage ChefPro subscriptions and access to paid features

  • Restore eligible subscription access

  • Analyze app usage and improve PantryPro

  • Receive and evaluate feedback and feature requests

  • Diagnose technical problems and maintain security

  • Respond to support requests

  • Prevent misuse or fraud

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Authentication

PantryPro supports authentication methods that may include email and password, Sign in with Apple, and Google Sign-In.

When you use a third-party authentication provider, that provider may process information according to its own privacy policy and your account settings with that provider.

PantryPro receives only information made available through the authentication process that is necessary to create, identify, or authenticate your PantryPro account.

5. Third-Party Services

PantryPro relies on third-party service providers to operate certain parts of the Service. These may include:

Supabase — used for services such as account authentication, database functionality, and storing application and user data.

Apple — used for App Store distribution, Sign in with Apple where selected, and processing in-app subscription purchases.

Google — used to provide Google Sign-In when selected by the user.

RevenueCat — used to manage subscription status, purchases, entitlements, and related subscription functionality.

PostHog — used for product analytics to help us understand app usage, evaluate product performance, and improve PantryPro.

UserJot — used to provide feedback, feature-request, voting, and related product-feedback functionality.

These third-party providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to PantryPro and according to their respective privacy policies and terms.

6. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled through PantryPro.

Information may be stored or processed using third-party infrastructure and service providers, including our authentication, database, analytics, subscription-management, and feedback providers.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps designed to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide PantryPro, maintain your account, fulfill legitimate operational purposes, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or misuse, and enforce applicable agreements.

If you delete your PantryPro account or request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, subject to information we may be required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction-record, or other legitimate purposes.

Information submitted to feedback systems may require separate deletion or anonymization where it has been publicly shared or is maintained by a third-party provider.

Some information handled independently by third parties, such as App Store transaction records maintained by Apple, may be subject to those providers' own retention requirements and policies.

8. Notifications

PantryPro may request permission to send notifications.

Notifications may be used for purposes such as:

  • Cooking-related reminders

  • App or feature updates

  • Subscription or trial reminders

You can control notification permissions at any time through your device settings.

9. Children's Privacy

PantryPro is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis was required, we will take appropriate steps to address or delete the information as required by applicable law.

10. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information.

You can also:

  • Manage notification permissions through your device settings

  • Manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple account

  • Use Restore Purchases where available to restore an eligible subscription

  • Delete your PantryPro account using available account controls, where provided

  • Request account or data assistance by contacting PantryPro Support

Certain requests may be subject to identity verification or limitations permitted by applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as PantryPro evolves, our services or third-party providers change, or legal and regulatory requirements change.

When we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice of material changes.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically for updates.
